Abstract :
As grid adjusting unit, the long-term stable operation of pumped storage station is quite significant. Compared with normal air cooling generator-motor, the evaporative cooling generator-motor has higher cooling efficiency and reliability. Firstly, this paper introduces the experiment platform of inner cooling hollow copper strand. Then, the transient temperature testing result of hollow copper strand will be used as the known condition to calculate stator bar 3D temperature during the load change process. The outstanding transient temperature characteristic of the stator bar proves the advantages of evaporative cooling generator-motor.
