  • Abstract
The paper evaluates four basic grounding methods used for maintenance of transmission lines. These methods are: three-phase bracket grounding; combination grounding; single-phase worksite grounding; and three-phase worksite grounding. The results are summarized and evaluated to assess the effectiveness of the grounding methods and to determine the countermeasures needed to mitigate the electrical shock hazards that may exist during ground faults at the work site. The voltage and current measurements were performed with specially designed sensors to correctly record the data
