Abstract

In this paper, a SAR (synthetic aperture radar) ATR algorithm based on support vector machines (SVMs) and independent component analysis (ICA) is proposed. Features of SAR images are extracted using ICA firstly, then we test our method on MA STAR database by using support vector machines classifier. The experiment result shows that the performance of this method is superior to other methods
