The purpose of this paper is to describe the structure and functions of the selecting system in the base station controller (BSC) for CDMA digital cellular communication. The system mainly manages call processing, handles High-level Digital Link Control (HDLC) protocol, controls soft/softer handoff procedure and provides transcoding channels
