Abstract
Finding an efficient technique to analyze the performance of various channel assignment strategies is one of the major problems in cellular mobile systems. The authors first investigate the traffic analysis of dynamic channel assignment (DCA) with maximum packing (MP) and show its model can be transformed to that of an equivalent circuit-switched network. Then the exact and approximation methods developed for a circuit-switched network can be used to compute the lower bound of blocking performance for the authors´ proposed DDCA algorithm. Numerical results show that under certain conditions, the blocking performance of DDCA approaches the lower bound provided by MP
