Abstract :
In this paper, a novel flux concentrated transverse flux permanent magnet disk generator (FC-TFPMDG) is proposed, which features higher PM utilization and lower harmonic distorted no-load electromotive force (EMF) so that it is ideal for use as lower speed direct drive wind generator. The structure and the operation principle of this generator are illustrated in detail. Besides, the electromagnetic design and analysis of the generator are carried out by using three-dimensional (3-D) finite element analysis (FEA).
