Abstract :
PMSM because of the advantage with its high density, high efficiency, high reliability, has become the main motor in the electric drive of electric vehicles, high-speed rail and aircraft etc. The fault-tolerant ability of PMSM drive "limp home" after the fault, is critically important to the safe operation of electric drive. The core of six sigma is to improve the execution and management efficiency of fault-tolerant operation solution, the DMAIC cycle model of six sigma including definition, measure, analysis, improvement, control. Through the top-level design for fault-tolerant operation, define the fault type, measure the fault-tolerant index, analyze fault feature, improve hardware scheme, optimal control algorithm, a complete six sigma cycle management system is established. The single-phase open circuit fault as an example to practice six sigma management method, avoid further deterioration caused by the fault of inaction. The two schemes are proposed which can achieve the fault-tolerant operation of PMSM drive after the fault with the output torque maintained 100% normal performance or reduced to 40%, and improve the security of the PMSM drive.
