Abstract :
In this paper, we present The Converged Architecture and various services which are running on it along with the understanding of their characteristics. Congestion caused by the services running simultaneously affects the Quality of Experience (QoE) of the user. So it becomes very important to classify and prioritize these packets and give real time application, which are delay and drop sensitive, more priority. This classification and prioritization is called Quality of Service (QoS). QoS can be achieved at different layers using different parameters and with different techniques.
