Abstract :
In this paper, the focused laser beam on a thin photosensitive AgCl layer containing excess of Ag a competition of scattered TE0 and TM0 waveguide modes in generation and growth of spontaneous grating has been discovered and investigated. These gratings were formed on an interference pattern resulted from addition of the original beam field and a field of a waveguide mode scattered in the film.
