Abstract :
Drilling engineering is the most direct, effective and reliable method for the study of the Earth´s interior. Borehole data for its accurate reflection of the subsurface geological information become the foundation of digital geological modeling. In this paper, the workflow of 3D geological modeling based on borehole data in the 3D modeling and visualization environment is introduced and the typical example is given. The 3D geological modeling technique brings the processing and expression of the borehole data a new way, which expands the traditional two-dimensional plane into three-dimensional space. The 3D geological model not only fully expresses the spatial geometric feature of the geological bodies, but also can be given the spatial attribute information for further quantitative application.
