Abstract
This paper studies an approach to calculate the effect of time harmonic on permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) performance. The harmonic equivalent circuit is built by main voltage harmonic and auxiliary electromotive force (EMF) harmonic, and the calculation method of the parameters in the equivalent circuit is found out. The influence of time harmonic on PMSM is figured out subsequently. Compared with the experimental data, the calculation results are consistent with the tested results.
