Abstract :
Six-switch two three-phase output inverter can be controlled by pulse width modulation (PWM) scheme. Each switching device used in voltage source inverter requires dead-time. The output waveform of the inverter is distorted when the dead-time is inserted. Therefore, the output current THD (total harmonics distortion) increases. Applying a dead-time compensation scheme, the distortion caused by the dead-time can be reduced. This paper shows the effectiveness of a dead-time compensation scheme which is applied to a PWM scheme for six-switch two three-phase output inverter by experiment.
