Abstract :
Dual-rotor permanent magnet brushless (DRPMB) machine is proposed to satisfy some special requirements, such as the drive systems of Electrical Vehicle. However, the DRPMB motor is difficult to be designed through the existing commercial programs due to its particular configuration. In this paper, an equivalent magnetic-circuit method has been given to design DRPMB motor. Then a prototype was fabricated and tested in order to prove the validity of the method and indicate the superiority of this kind of machine.
