Abstract :
Disc transverse-flux permanent magnet machine combines the advantages of transverse flux permanent magnet machine and disc permanent magnet machine. A novel disc transverse-flux permanent magnet machine was proposed along with the discussion of its principles, structures and features firstly. Then, the expressions of its sizing equations and design rules were studied. Calculated by magnetic circuit method and finite element method, a prototype was made and tested to verify the analysis.
