Abstract
Summary form only given. Several of the most successful ISDN (integrated-services digital network) trial customer applications are reviewed. A definition of the ISDN applications and an outline of the customer functions are provided. The architectures of the ISDN applications and the structure of the non-ISDN equivalent are presented. The benefits to the customer provided by the ISDN services and the benefits to the provider of the ISDN architecture.<>
