Abstract
In this paper, we are using the features and technology of wireless sensor networks such as distributed and self-organization to build temperature monitoring system, which can monitor the temperature of bus bar junction in real time to prevent fire and other accidents. This system applies ZigBee communication protocol and uses the IC-CC2500, 2.4GHz(ISM) as RF transceiver. It has the characteristics of low power consumption, low cost, flexible structure and accurate measurement, and it can achieve the long-distance temperature monitoring of the bus bar junction in real time. The wireless temperature sensor node senses and transmits the variations in the local temperature to the central computing unit placed within the range. The central computing unit receives the data and displays the data continuously through HyperTerminal or V1.9 terminal on PC.
