Abstract :
The study of the influence on the neutron scattering by the surrounding medium and the fragmental detector on fission neutron spectrum measurements with time-of-flight (TOF) method has been carried out. The scattering by air and the walls of the measuring room was determined by both experiment and Monte Carlo simulation. It was found that the influences of neutron scattering on the fission neutron spectrum is rather essential and can noticeably change the shape of the fission neutron spectra
