Abstract :
This study investigates the application of magneto hydrodynamics, MHD, effect in cardiovascular magnetic resonance imaging (MRI). We established a theoretical enlightenment of fluid mechanics and MHD equations. We emphasized on the application of MHD effect in cardiovascular MRI where an interpretation of MHD on ECG signals was clearly premeditated. The theory was simulated using SIMULINK™. We were able to detect the MHD noise affecting the MR-ECG. According to assumed parameters, the obtained signal amplitude allowed to obtain a correct cardiovascular signal after verifying no ST segment elevation. However, the developed exploration will facilitate the elimination of the MHD effect in cardiovascular MRI after presuming and identifying the MHD signal by using simulation.
