Abstract
This paper describes a cylindrical moving magnet-type linear actuator with high response characteristics. This motor was mainly driven by rectangular or single-phase AC power with features of compact configuration, large thrust force, short stroke, high efficiency. Based on the established mathematical model using equivalent magnetic circuit method and the finite element model, the magnetic driven force was obtained. Prototype experiment was conducted to verify the analysis result. Those works provide theory foundation for its design, development, and engineering application.
