Abstract :
Traditional power supply method of a single power source parallel feeding for long primary linear motor has its own drawbacks. A novel series block feeding way which is suitable for high current applications is presented, based on a double-side long primary linear induction motor whose primaries are along with side by side. The network topology for connecting motors in series is gave, and the equations which can consider the transient performance are deduced. A system dynamic simulation model is presented in Matlab/Simulink, and a small prototype is constructed for experiment. The simulation and test results show that the performance can control in a reasonable range and satisfy the engineering requirement, although the fluctuation is unavoidable.
