Abstract
This paper proposes a novel identification method of radial force parameter of bearingless motors. In bearingless motors, disturbance force occurs by interference between torque current for torque generation and suspension current for magnetic levitation. Therefore, compensation which decouples torque current and suspension current is required to achieve stable operation of bearingless motors. However, it needs long time and external equipment that the conventional method to identify radial force parameters for the compensation. Therefore, we propose a novel simplified identification method. Radial force parameters for the compensation are obtained easily and quickly by using proposal method without a dedicated jigs which is needed to conventional method. In this paper, the principle of proposal method is described. Effectiveness of proposal method is confirmed by experimental results.
