Abstract :
An effective numerical modeling based on Method of Moment (MoM) and equivalent material technique is proposed to predict the radio wave propagation over forest canopies. In contrast to conventional approach where a planar interface was assumed between the free space and forest canopy, the MoM based on a forward-backward method allows one to model the interface in terms of rough surface in a more realistic fashion. Numerical examples validate the modeling techniques
