Abstract :
Velocity of electromagnetic wave propagation into earth layers and the depth of interfaces between them are determined using genetic algorithms. The method is novel and robust. It can tolerate small errors and uncertainties in the measured delay times obtained according the common mid point method. The GA´s technique is capable of determination of the dipping angle for an inclines interface.
