Abstract
This paper describes a simple methodology for the simulation of flat-fading multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) wireless propagation channels under non-isotropic scattering conditions. The proposed channel simulator is based on the sum- of-sinusoids (SOS) principle and has been developed under the framework of the geometrical one-ring scattering model. All the simulation parameters are computed in a purely deterministic manner, which results in an ergodic channel simulator. By considering that the angle of arrival (AOA) of the received signal follows the von Mises distribution, we will show that the proposed simulator satisfactorily approximates the channel´s time and spatial correlation functions.
