Abstract :
A method of approach for determination of the reflective index m of homogenous mediums by measuring the amplitude of ultrasound waves with a work frequency 40 kHz is presented in the paper. Ultrasound piezoceramic transducers type UST40T and UST40R are used as a transmitter and receiver. Their work is based on the direct and reverse piezoeffect. The excitation of the transducers is performed with impulse-modulated signals, formed by the microcontroller PIC16F84A.
