  • Abstract
Mt. Baegdu, a Cenozoic stratovolcano, is studied using SAR and JERS-1 OPS data. The authors use ERS-2 SAR and JERS-1 SAR to generate interferograms and coherence maps. One of the JERS-1 SAR pairs acquired with 1100 days interval produces a relatively excellent interferogram. Although there is a height trend still to be removed, the preliminary DEMs are successfully estimated from two JERS-1 interferograms over the study area. Because the ERS-2 interferogram has a good coherence around the top of Mt. Baegdu and the volcanic plateau in the western part in the study area, it was only possible to obtain a DEM in those areas. These results are to be utilized in selecting a GPS station and monitoring surface change over the region. The authors will apply the DInSAR technique with support of GPS and micro-seismic data in a future study
