Abstract :
We have experimentally demonstrated 640 Gbit/s OTDM signals inter-wavelength-band conversions between C- and L-band accompanied by 640-to-10 Gbit/s OTDM DEMUX. By use of HNL-DSFs, almost pulse broadening-free, highly efficient wavelength-band conversions were successfully demonstrated at BERs less than 10-9. This scheme would be a key technology in wavelength-band path routing in hierarchical hybrid OTDM/WDM networks.
