  • Abstract
    A source of picosecond mid-infrared pulses tunable from 9.7-14.9 μm based upon difference-frequency generation between 1.55 μm pulse and a self-frequency shifted soliton is presented. Timing jitter and intensity noise are characterized and discussed.
