Abstract :
Novel silica index guiding holey fibers (IGHFs) design are proposed utilizing a new defect structure that is composed of defected innermost structures. The proposed IGHFs exhibits remarkable chromatic dispersion properties such as nearly zero and flattened dispersion over a wide spectral range and single mode guidance along with low confinement loss. Its numerical results point out 5 air-holes rings nearly zero ultra-flattened dispersion single mode IGHFs can be designed over the entire band of interest with low confinement loss of less than 10-6 dB/m.
