  • Abstract
    In this paper, we derive semi-analytical expressions for the outage probability and the outage capacity of multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) orthogonal space-time block codes (OSTBCs) over Nakagami-m fading channels. The cases of independent but not necessarily identically distributed channels as well as fully correlated and semi-correlated fading channels are investigated. The derived expressions consist of a single integral which can be easily evaluated numerically. The results may assist the system designer to determine the effects of system and channel parameters on the reliability of the achievable capacity of MIMO-OSTBC systems.
