  • Abstract
After image processing and analyzing for SIR-C/X-SAR and TM data, this paper presents the study results of north area of Kuqa County, Western China. A negative flower structure and a positive flower structure, which related to the deformation of the sinistral strike-slip structure of this area, are revealed from SIR-C/X-SAR images. According to the difference of surface roughness of two types of Quaternary alluvium using fractal concept, the front position of Kuqa rejuvenated foreland basin thrust belt was located. All these provide important evidences for the study of neo-tectonic evolution in this area. The kinematics and dynamic mechanism of structural deformation is identified, and the capability for distinguishing neo-tectonics of multi-band and multi-polarization radar images is also displayed in this paper
