Abstract :
A new fault detection and diagnosis (FDD) scheme is proposed to detect actuator and sensor simultaneous faults. The scheme is based on strong-tracking multiple-model Estimator (STMME) and uses distributed structure. Two STMMEs are used to detect actuator and sensor faults respectively, in which unknown failure parameters can be estimated as augmented state variables. Simulation is presented based on aero dynamics. The results show that the FDD scheme is effective in detecting and estimating single and simultaneous actuator and sensor faults.
