Abstract
The reported all-optical wireless communication system comprises an optical processing unit and an optical antennas unit, housing the transmitting and receiving telescopes, as well as the optics, electronics, and mechanical mechanism required for auto-tracking. The optical processing unit is a four (optical) ports assembly with two optical inputs and two optical outputs, together with electronic control interface. In a typical application, a central office feeds the optical information to be transmitted into one optical input of the optical processing unit via a single mode fiber.
