  • Abstract
    Optical modulators with a hybrid configuration of silica PLCs and LiNbO3 phase modulators feature high scalability for advanced modulation formats. Modulators for 40-Gb/s RZ-DQPSK, 100-Gb/s PDM-QPSK, and 240-Gb/s 64QAM have been demonstrated.
