  • Abstract
    The temperature drop, especially in the edge of the rolled steel in the hot rolling cooling has a catastrophic effect on the steel quality. Induction heating technology is thus used in the edge of intermediate billets to compensate the temperature drop. In this paper, the three-dimensional (3D) Finite Element method is employed to study the coupled eddy current-thermal field of the C-type edge induction heater, which provides references for engineering application and designing.
