Abstract
Vibration and noises are important reasons for transmission failure and are two important technical indexes of transmissions. The modal analysis of transmission is conducted by ANSYS software according to studying a certain truck transmission. The CAD three-dimensional model of the transmission is built by PRO/E. The natural frequency and vibration mode of the transmission are obtained and its vibration characteristics are analyzed. The relationship between the vibration of transmissions and the fixed constraints of vehicle frame are revealed by comparing modal analysis results of the transmission constraint of the different number of connecting bolts. The analysis method in the paper can effectively solve the problems of the optimization design and vibration safety examination of transmissions.
