Abstract :
A new broadband antenna based on the fractal Parany and Sierpinski monopoles is presented in this paper. Parany and Sierpinski antennas are resonant, log-periodic and multi-band. In this paper that performance is improved adding a conductor triangle to a one-stage Parany fractal monopole antenna. The resultant self- complementary Parany antenna provides bandwidth from 3.1 GHz to 11 GHz for VSWR < 2.1. The antenna was simulated using an FDTD program and good agreement between simulated and measured results was observed.
