Abstract :
In this investigation, which utilized a special optical attenuator with glass ferrules on both ends, the relationship between input power and the exothermicity at the PC contact point between SM fiber and attenuation fiber which have different fiber parameters were observed. It was confirmed that the relation between temperature of PC connection and input power are in proportion at thermal equilibrium conditions.
