Abstract :
In this paper, a novel modulation classification method for different single-carrier modulation types, including MASK, MPSK and MQAM, is proposed based on high order cumulants. The discrimination feature is build as a combination of fourth and eighth orders cumulants in the proposed approach. The scheme can classify MASK, MPSK, MQAM with square constellation and MQAM with starlike constellation in a common hierarchical system. The theoretical arguments and simulations show that the proposed scheme can obtain good performance in low SNR and small sample scale conditions
