Abstract :
This paper focuses on blind multiuser detection for ultra-wideband (UWB) systems over unknown multipath channels. Unlike conventional approaches, we propose a scheme based on generalized sidelobe canceller (GSC) due to its robustness and low complexity. In our work, a GSC array is employed to collect the multipath signals and suppress multiuser interference (MUI). Afterward, the unknown UWB multipath channel is estimated by eigenvalue decomposition (EVD), and a MMSE combiner is designed. Compared to other methods, the proposed approach can achieve satisfied performance with less computational cost, as simulations indicate
