Abstract :
A layered cell structure is proposed for a mobile ATM network that efficiently transfer heterogeneous traffic for multimedia, personal, and intelligent services. This structure enables, efficient transfer of signals ranging from very low bitrate voice signals to high-speed multimedia signals with little delay. This paper proposes four layered cell structure schemes, and determines which scheme is most efficient in terms of transmission based on computer simulation. This paper also, proposes new ATM adaptation layer protocol stacks to support the scheme
