Abstract :
With the development of mobile ad hoc network (MANET), quality of service (QoS) provisioning and energy saving become more and more important. In the past, these two issues were treated separately. In this paper, we investigate a new way to combine the two together and present a novel on-demand bandwidth-guaranteed multipath QoS routing for saving energy (BMQRSE) in TDMA-based MANETs. The proposed scheme can provide QoS guarantee by reserving time slots and save energy by taking into account both the transmit power and the residual energy of the hosts along the multiple disjoint paths from a source to a destination. Simulation results show that BMQRSE has good network performance and balances the energy consumption of hosts
