Abstract
Multicast routing is a key technique to deploy multicast service in mobile ad hoc networks. This paper proposed a routing protocol ASSMR for source-specific multicast service in mobile ad hoc networks. A reverse path tree algorithm for delivery tree construction was designed for ASSMR, and novel delivery tree maintenance mechanisms dealing with dynamic situations were incorporated in ASSMR. Through detailed simulation experiments, the performance evaluation and comparison between ASSMR and ODMRP was presented
