Abstract
In this paper we present a new technique for designing dual-band cavity-backed slot antennas using chip inductors. Presence of the cavity behind the antenna aperture increases the front-to-back ratio of the antenna and decreases its sensitivity to the presence of large metallic objects underneath it. In what follows, the design procedure of the antenna as well as its measurement results are presented and discussed.
