Abstract

As for deficiency in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM)database at present, this paper design and implement a database, discusses design principles and details of it, substructure query of chemical compounds, 2D Structure and 3D Structure display as well. This database includes prescriptions, Traditional Chinese Medicinal Herbs(TCMH), original plants of TCMH, chemical compounds of plants etc four core tables in total. Combined with semantic associations among these four tables, the whole database is an organism, which provides a good tool for research in prescriptions and Traditional Chinese Medicinal Herbs in molecular level.
