Abstract :
This paper presents a new current-type magnetically T-source inverter (CMTSI) which employs a three-winding coupled transformer and a capacitor formed in T-shape to produce a higher current gain in comparison with current-type trans-Z-source inverter (trans-ZSI) and flipped Γ-source inverter (fTSI). The new impedance network exhibits a unique characteristic such that its current gain can be raised not only by increasing the first turn ratio αmT but also by decreasing the second turn ratio βmT of the coupled transformer. Some simulation results are shown to verify the theoretical analysis.
