Abstract :
We consider energy is a limited resource in wireless sensor networks (WSN) so that energy consumption must be minimized while satisfying given throughput requirements. In this context, we proposed a method to realize the cooperative transmission scheme in the single-hop WSN and analyzed the energy efficiency and throughput of this method. The energy consumption has taken into account both the transmission energy and the circuit processing energy, and throughout the analysis we emphasized on the capability condition of the cooperative transmission. And the analysis results showed that the cooperative transmission can increase the energy-efficiency when the sink is far away from the CNs, and also this scheme can keep the throughput of the system in a stable level with different values of SNR
