Abstract
The authors have developed a new solar simulator based on the idea of supplementary-light method for performance measurement of multi-junction solar cells. It is designed to make use of the stable light, good uniformity and good spectral simulation of the currently used single xenon lamp solar simulator. The spectral distribution of the new solar simulator can be adjusted by adding the variable supplementary lights to the main light, and it is used for determining the conversion efficiency of two or three layer multi-junction solar cells
