Abstract
Personal Computer (IBM compatible) signal acquisition and analysis, has been demonstrated as a viable, high end and low cost solution to many biomedical applications. At DEBEL the authors developed an ECG Analyser as a PC Add on solution and now they have developed a Stress Test System. The host PC is a general purpose machine and has its limitations, in terms of processing speed, data transfer rates and storage capacity. An insight into the concept in relation to data transfer mechanism and its effect on processing speed of PC is essential for an optimal design
