Abstract :
Complementary antenna pair composed with electric and magnetic dipole antennas is a potential antenna solution for multi-radio antenna system in space-limited mobile devices because of its excellent isolation performance at close proximity between antennas. The pair can be configured with side-by-side or top-to-bottom configuration depends on application. The isolation performance provides more than 32 dB even with the LCD near the antenna pair, but need to be measured with modified antenna design for accurate verification. The antenna prototype is for single band operation at this moment. We are working on the design of highly isolated multi-band antenna design with smaller antenna size.
